Tennis Pickleball Basketball Courts Power Washing, Sometimes when you think your court is in real bad shape, it may just need a good power washing to bring it back to life. But keep in mind that cleaning your court will not get rid of the cracks or other damage on your court but it will make your court look good again and make it more pleasant to play on again. Important note to know when getting your court power washed is if your court is real old and badly damaged then getting it power washed could reveal some of the underlying problems of your court, we point this out because some clients may blame the power washer for pre-existing problems a court may have like paint chipping, if your court paint is chipping or flecking/peeling then a power washer can pull some of that damage paint up. Or if your court was painted in the cold weather then this is what we call dead paint on the court. Painting a court in cold temperatures is bad and some contractors know it but do it anyway to make money at the end of the season even if its to cold out but when this is done your court will look great but the paint is what we call dead paint, it will look good but only will last a year or so before you start to see the problems and the problems will be the paint will start to fleck or crack or start to thin out after a rain or a good power washing causing a client to think the power washing did something wrong but if a court was painted right then the only way you can remove a good paint job will be with a scraping machine not water.
NJPS Courts always will have a court power washed before doing repairs or painting to ensure a good bond of the new paint. But not all courts need power washing before painting but if you have mold or dirt that a blower can’t remove then it should be power washed.
